Hazel is training lead for pharmacists in North East & Yorkshire specialising in advanced practice with a particular interest in developing research capability and capacity. She chairs the regional pharmacy research group, has initiated ICS-based pharmacy research groups and jointly won funding from the NIHR Undergraduate Internship Programme to host two student interns. Hazel is a haematology pharmacist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHSFT where she has developed a training programme that showcases colleagues’ projects and raises awareness of research within the department. She co-chairs the South Yorkshire (SY) Pharmacy Research Group and an SYICB workforce group on expanding pharmacy roles.
