Hazel is training lead for pharmacists in North East & Yorkshire specialising in advanced and consultant practice with a particular interest in developing research capability and capacity. She chairs the regional pharmacy research group, has established ICS‑based pharmacy research forums, and has jointly secured funding from the NIHR Undergraduate Internship Programme for three consecutive years. Hazel is a haematology pharmacist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHSFT where she has developed a training programme that showcases colleagues’ projects and raises awareness of research within the department. Within her role as Embedded Pharmacist Researcher for South Yorkshire ICB she co-chairs the South Yorkshire (SY) Pharmacy Research Group, is a Principal Investigator and has written the SY Pharmacy Research Strategy.
