Homecare Medicines Services Specialist, Barts Health Trust NHS
John is a Homecare Medicines Service Specialist based at Royal London Hospital for Barts Heath NHS Trust. John started working in Pharmacy in 2008 as a Senior Assistant Technical Officer at North Middlesex Hospital. He then qualified as a Pharmacy Technician in 2010. After spending a number of years working as a Pharmacy Technician, gaining his Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician qualification and becoming a Senior Pharmacy Technician, he moved to Evelina Children's Hospital in 2015 working in Paediatrics. In 2018 John moved to Bart’s Health NHS Trust working at Whipps Cross Hospital as a Lead Technician, leading the team in the Dispensary and Stores. John then gained his first experience with Homecare in 2019 when he started working in the Specialist Medicines Team at Bart’s Health NHS Trust where he worked with Homecare patients in Rheumatology, Dermatology and Gastroenterology supporting the Clinical Teams. His move into his current role as a Homecare Medicines Service Specialist came in 2024 when he joined the Homecare team at Royal London Hospital, initially as a support Pharmacy Technician, working to help support his team of Pharmacy Administrators and with the Homecare providers the Trust utilise to provide the best possible service for their patients.
