Jurga McLean is a Specialist Cancer Pharmacist with 11 years’ oncology experience at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and serves as Co-chair of the BOPA Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Subcommittee since 2023. She has secured pre-doctoral research funding from The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and NIHR ARC South London and recently received a grant from Gilead Sciences to deliver cancer awareness workshops within Black communities. Her work examines how intersectional identities shape Black women’s breast cancer treatment experiences. She has published in BMJ Quality & Safety, presented internationally, and champions inclusive cultures, mentorship, and research engagement.
