Karen is a pharmacist with extensive clinical and managerial experience working in NHS Primary and Secondary Care. Karen has been the Associate Director of Medicines Optimisation for PrescQIPP for the past 5 years, managing the production of medicine optimisation bulletins and practical resources to support implementation of a wide variety of medicine optimisation projects in the NHS across the UK. Karen is passionate about promoting best value medicines and improving patient outcomes through the use of evidence based medicines and devices. She shares her expertise through writing resources, delivering presentations and webinars at a national level. Karen is the author of the PrescQIPP resources on the inhaler carbon footprint https://www.prescqipp.info/our-resources/bulletins/bulletin-295-inhaler-carbon-footprint/ which have been used in national publications such as MIMS and the NHSBSA prescribing dashboards.
