Katherine Stirling has been the consultant pharmacist for anticoagulation and thrombosis in Leeds Teaching Hospitals since 2011. Her role in the hospital incorporates VTE prevention, all aspects of anticoagulation including out patient clinics for anticoagulant management (warfarin, DOACs, LMWH), and thrombosis treatment. Her research interests include DOACs at extremes of weight and improving patient safety with anticoagulation. She also works closely with primary care providing virtual clinics, training and advice and guidance to primary care teams. She is a member of the Haemaostasis, Anticoagulation and Thrombosis committee of the UKCPA.
