Lucy has a strong background in HIV, infectious disease and tropical medicine having previously worked in the Caldecot Centre during her residency at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London and as a senior clinical pharmacist at University College London Hospitals NHS Trust and the Mortimer Market Centre for eight years before moving on to a procurement and homecare senior lead role at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Lucy also has a background in education and training maintaining her interest in HIV through her roles as deputy chair, education subcommittee lead and conference lead for HIVPA. She has organised several annual conferences, study days and educational eHIVE modules for HIV Pharmacy Association (HIVPA) and worked with BHIVA to review and develop the OI app. She is a member of the Clinical Pharmacy Congress North Advisory Board and has represented HIVPA delivering education sessions at both The Clinical Pharmacy Congress North and The Clinical Pharmacy Congress for the last 12 years. She works closely with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and represented HIVPA’s interests with education developments including the Affiliated Partners, Faculty, Foundation and most recently Core Advanced and Consultant Pharmacist pathways. She is a HIVPA Faculty member and an accredited Faculty, Foundation, REPP and Advanced Pharmacist Competency Committee Assessor.
