Mahmoud qualified as a pharmacist from the University of Bradford in 2010 and has used his position to build a strong team of pharmacists, specialising in long term conditions. In his role as Partner and Lead Pharmacist at Affinity Care, Mahmoud works to integrate pharmacists into general practice, ensuring they are part of the multidisciplinary team and utilising their skillset around medications and treatment to become core to the long-term condition management of patients.
His area of interest in cardiovascular disease and lipids, and has been using his interest in this area to lead a primary care lipid optimisation clinic across the Affinity Care PCN, reviewing patients with established cardiovascular disease and ensuring optimisation of their CVD risks, including lipids, using the most up to date treatment options.
