Manuella Asso works for the PDA as an Organising Assistant and has been the coordinator of the BAME Network since it first launched over 2 years ago. She has experience in member engagement and recruitment and has led many network activities including speaking at numerous events including the PDA Race Report and PDA Get Vaccinated events. Manuella has been instrumental in helping increase PDA student membership via various planned student activities including careers fairs and other events. She has also been influential in helping to increase the membership of the PDA BAME Pharmacists’ Network since its launch in April 2020 by coordinating planned activities, social media campaigns, events and newsletters. She has contributed to various resources and materials to help pharmacists along on their journey. Manuella has supported with the retention and development of members in online and face to face events and workshops where she regularly engages with members and contributes to the learning and development of reps and members in 121s. She has represented the PDA at various events and workshops while clearly communicating with PDA members the purpose and benefits of trade unions in line with member expectations.
