After completing two years as a rotational junior pharmacist, Maryam moved onto covering the general gastroenterology/hepatology wards at a London DGH. As her interest in gastroenterology grew, she was keen to move to St Mark's to specialise further, where she has worked since early 2020. Maryam works on the the Intestinal Rehabilitation Unit, a specialist ward for Intestinal Failure patients, and provides a homecare service to over 350 parenteral nutrition patients. Maryam completed a diploma in pharmacy practice in 2019 and is currently enrolled in a clinically enhanced pharmacy independent prescribing course with the scope being high output stoma management.
