Michael is a registered nurse with a primary background in Critical Care. He has worked at the University of Sunderland since 2010 and delivered Clinical Skills education to a range of health programmes including Nursing, Pharmacy and Paramedic Science. Michael has been involved in clinical simulation for approximately 10 years and is one of the simulation leads at the university. In 2021 he became the programme lead for the Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship that the university runs in partnership with Spire Healthcare. Prior to commencing his nurse training, he served in the Royal Navy as an Electrical Technician in the submarine fleet.
