Michael Skarlatos is a Medical Educator at Abbott’s Diabetes Care division, supporting healthcare professionals across the UK to confidently integrate continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) into diabetes care. Michael is a registered Diabetes Specialist Dietitian with over a decade of experience working across both clinical and academic settings. Prior to joining Abbott, he worked in the specialist diabetes services in Leicester, where he led structured education delivery and supported complex type 1 and type 2 diabetes care, including technology initiation and insulin management. Alongside his clinical work, Michael contributed to NHS research projects focused on digital health, behaviour change, and diabetes self-management. At Abbott, he draws on this combined experience to deliver non-promotional, evidence-based education that empowers clinicians to interpret CGM data and support personalised treatment decisions in a wide range of care settings.
