Michael Wakeman is a pharmacist and healthcare consultant, with master’s degrees in pharmaceutical analysis, nutritional medicine, and clinical oncology. He is currently completing a PhD researching the effects of medication on nutritional status, which is the subject of his recent book-Medicated Malnourishment He was part of Professor David Horrobin’s team-alongside Nobel laureate, Sir James Black-responsible for a number of essential fatty acid medicines now in extensive clinical use. In 2009 his research was selected to promote the annual Royal Pharmaceutical Society conference. His work has been featured on TV, national radio and in national print.
