Monica is a pharmacist and head of the Prescribing Support Unit at the NHS Regional Drug and Therapeutics Centre in Newcastle. The centre promotes the safe, effective and economical use of medicines within the NHS across the North of England. During her 16 years at the RDTC, she has led the development and delivery of medicines optimisation initiatives to enable systems to improve health outcomes for patients. Core to her work is the expert analysis of evidence and data, to support equitable access and improve uptake of treatments across the populations we serve.
