Naomi Finch has worked at Kent and Medway ICB as a Community Pharmacy Clinical Lead for 2 years, and is the only pharmacy technician appointed into this role across the country. Her previous roles include working as a pharmacy technician in a range of healthcare settings, before moving into project management and commissioning roles in the wider system. Naomi is a member of NHS England Chief Pharmaceutical Officer’s Professional Advisory Forum for Pharmacy Technicians and chair of the Kent & Medway Pharmacy Technician Network, and is passionate about maximising the opportunity for registered pharmacy technicians to support clinical service provision in community pharmacy now and in the future, in preparation for the upcoming changes to initial education and training for pharmacists to include independent prescribing. Naomi is currently undertaking a masters in healthcare leadership at University of Hull and is a recent graduate of the CPHO Pharmacy Leaders Programme.
