Paul Day is the Director of the PDA. PDA are the largest membership body and only independent trade union exclusively for pharmacists in the UK. PDA are part of FIP, EPHEU and several other Trade Union federations. Following an early career in retail banking where he first became involved in trade unions, he became Deputy General Secretary of the Association of Teachers & Lecturers then Chief Operating Officer of the Business Disability Forum before joining PDA in 2017. Paul is a member of the General Federation of Trade Unions (GFTU) Executive Committee, trustee of several charities including serving as Vice-Chair of his local Healthwatch and has been elected Mayor of his town since 2018.
