Priya is a credentialled Consultant Pharmacist in Nutrition and Intestinal Failure at University Hospital Southampton, NHS Foundation Trust. She has spent most of her career in hospital pharmacy. She qualified as a non-medical prescriber in 2006 and specialised in the field of parenteral nutrition and peritoneal malignancy. She joined University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust as Lead Pharmacist in 2015. She is current chair of the British Pharmaceutical Nutrition Group Executive Committee and has facilitated the Southern Home Intestinal Failure Network Group since 2016. She also has a research interest in parenteral nutrition and patient safety with several publications.
