Consultant Pharmacist, Care of Older People, London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust Visiting Professor, Kingston University, London
Nina Barnett is a Consultant Pharmacist, prescriber and coach with over 25 years’ experience in NHS pharmacy practice, specialising in teaching and providing clinical leadership in the area of older people. As a national leader, Nina has pioneered the use of a coaching approach to medicines-related consultations in pharmacy practice, developing and delivering health coaching training to pharmacy, multidisciplinary and lay national and international audiences. In addition, Nina has also developed and delivered a novel method of group-based wellbeing support for health professionals. She is a Visiting Professor at Kingston University, London, with PhD in “Developing a person-centred approach to pharmacy practice” and has published widely in international journals. Nina created and led an award-winning service for reducing risk of preventable medicines-related readmission in older people.
