I have worked in Pharmacy over 30 years with the last 13 years as a Pharmacy Technician. I moved from an Acute hospital into Mental Health 7 years ago, and now currently work within the Local Mental Health Community Teams, working with other healthcare professionals to deliver a dedicated pharmacy service undertaking designated responsibilities associated with medicines optimisation. We deliver medication clinics, issuing supplies of medicines to patients, reordering of medicines, prompting, or conducting physical health checks and side effect monitoring checks. We review the supply and handling of prescriptions and provide support with training on medicine related topics.
