Rahul Singal is the Senior Responsible Officer leading the Digital Medicines Programme within the Transformation Directorate at NHS England.
Rahul's area of work seeks to digitise the medicines pathway across the NHS through the adoption of e-prescribing, automation, transfer of medicines information and ordering of prescriptions via the NHS App. Rahul is also the Senior Advisor on digital pharmacy and medicines, and the Professional Lead for pharmacy on clinical informatics.
Rahul has held several leadership positions across NHS organisations, including that of Chief Pharmacist across NHS Trusts in London. In 2015, Rahul was the first Clinical Fellow to Chief Pharmaceutical Officer, where he led the publication of a policy report on seven-day pharmacy services in acute hospitals.
He has also completed a Master’s in Leadership (Quality Improvement) at Ashridge Executive Education, Hult International Business School, where he also completed his MBA.
