Ravi Sharma

Ravi Sharma

Director of England, Royal Pharmaceutical Society
Ravi joined in the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in 2018. His work to date has been focused on the development of integrated, collaborative and innovative roles for pharmacists and developing new roles for trainee, junior and senior pharmacist roles linked to health policy initiatives and workforce development strategies for the profession. He is involved in several research projects around the impacts of clinical pharmacy across primary care and has published several research articles in reputable journals. He continues to work as a prescribing pharmacist in a GP practice on a weekly basis. He has previously worked for NHS England and Improvement, British Medical Association, Royal College of General Practitioners and Department of Health and Social Care. He graduated from The London School of Pharmacy in 2011 and received a scholarship to complete a Masters in Genomic Medicines at Imperial College London in 2018. He has been awarded fellowship by the Faculty of UK Clinical Informatics; and he has been appointed to the NHS Assembly, an advisory group supporting the implementation of the NHS Long Term Plan. Ravi has recently started a Professional Doctorate in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London.
