Medicines Optimisation Lead Pharmacist, Central London Community Healthcare Trust
Ravijyot has a hospital background (Medicine & Emergency services with Respiratory specialism) and is an honorary clinical lecturer for the London School of Pharmacy (UCL). A Chief Pharmaceutical Officer’s clinical fellow (‘21/’22 at NHSE), she is currently Medicines Optimisation lead at Central London Community Healthcare trust. Ravijyot is a coach, independent prescriber, chair of the UK Clinical Pharmacy Association respiratory committee and has been part of NICE/British Thoracic Society (BTS) national guideline committees. Also, member of the RPS’ hospital expert advisory group, co-founder of the CPhO alumni fellow’s network, European Respiratory Society guideline development group and council member for Asthma lung UK. She is passionate about sustainable, personalised and holistic care for patients, population health/integrated care to reduce health inequalities. She’s also part of the NHSE ‘Lung health@home’, NHSE inhaler working group and sustainability board and ‘Overprescribing’ workstreams, also NHSE Respiratory clinical reference group member and former BTS pharmacist specialist advisory group member. Currently working on both BTS & European Association of Hospital Pharmacists Sustainability task and finish groups & CVD population health faculty member. She has led and contributed to local/national projects and workstreams (and continues): development of the ‘Greener practice/Health foundation’ QI toolkit (low carbon, value asthma care), ICS Green plan & ‘sustainability’ checklist, medicines budget impact for NICE, Inclusive Pharmacy Practice (& health inequalities), RPS hospital standards review, UKHSA/ESPAUR COPD toolkit, DHSC Essential Medicines Lists & collaboration with Greener NHS, PrescQIPP, Pharmacy Declares and the Federation of International Pharmacists.
