Ravijyot is the Chief Pharmaceutical Officer’s fellow based at NHSEI. She has a hospital background (Medicine & Emergency services with a speciality in Respiratory medicine) and is an honorary clinical lecturer for the London School of Pharmacy (UCL). She is a coach, independent prescriber, chair of the UK Clinical Pharmacy Association respiratory committee and has been part of NICE/British Thoracic Society (BTS) guideline committees. Passionate about sustainable, personalised holistic care for patients, respiratory, QI, population health/integrated care to reduce health inequalities, she’s also part of the NHSEI ‘Lung health@home’ and Polypharmacy workstreams and BTS pharmacist specialist advisory group member. Recently Ravijyot organised and chaired a policy forum, was a Kings fund discussion panellist and has contributed to the development of the ‘Greener practice/Health foundation’ QI toolkit for low carbon, value asthma care in general practice. She is currently leading a national project for medicines commercial flexibilities and continues to contribute to various programmes of work including medicines budget impact for NICE, Inclusive Pharmacy Practice (& health inequalities), RPS hospital standards review, DHSC Essential Medicines Lists, NHSEI sustainability board & inhaler working group, collaborating with Greener NHS & PrescQIPP. She has previously lead a team and worked to develop smoking cessation and asthma prescribing pathways, as well as shape the Pharmacy Quality Scheme and ICS Green plan in North Central London.
