Ravijyot Saggu

Ravijyot is a pharmacist with over 25 years’ NHS experience (Medicine with respiratory specialism) across primary, secondary and tertiary care and portfolio working. She was Chief Pharmaceutical Officer’s clinical fellow (‘21/’22 at NHS England) and is also a population health fellow and honorary clinical lecturer. A recognised leader, committed to raising the profile of Pharmacy strengthening professional identity, she has multi-professional, cross- sector working across a range of Pharmacy workstreams. She is chair of the UK Clinical Pharmacy Association respiratory committee and has been part of national/global working groups to develop respiratory guidelines/frameworks and transform respiratory care, more recently leading national system readiness for biologics. She sits on a range of national committees including British Thoracic Society including Biologics co-chair and NHSE: Sustainability board/Respiratory clinical reference group with various publications and research undertakings. Additionally, her training and experience in leadership, policy/strategy, health economics and commissioning have helped shape value-based healthcare. She is a QI practitioner and coach (including for health improvement with the National Respiratory Audit Programme), NICE Prescribing Associate and council member for ALUK charity, advocating for patients. She has an interest in population health and is passionate about inclusive care - sustainable, personalised and holistic for patients, to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities.
