Reem El-Sharkawi is currently the Welsh Clinical Leadership Fellow based with the Chief Pharmaceutical Officer’s team in Welsh Government. Reem has extensive experience working in secondary care and primary care, as one of the first primary care cluster pharmacists, prescribing across multiple GP surgeries. Additionally, Reem has presented and published multiple pieces of work across many international conferences and journals. Reem is passionate about the pharmacy profession and particularly developing the skills of the pharmacy workforce. Reem, with the support of multiple stakeholders, has developed guidance to support non-medical prescribers to expand their prescribing scope of practice.
