Lt Col Young is the UK’s senior Defence pharmacist and Head of Medicines Management. A veteran of three deployments to Afghanistan, she ran the pharmacy at Camp Bastion during Op HERRICK, supporting the world’s busiest trauma hospital. She has led complex global supply chains, including medical logistics to Cyprus and across operational theatres during Covid-19, delivering vaccines to some of the most remote populations worldwide. A graduate of the Intermediate Command and Staff Course, she now advises Defence and NATO on medicines management policy. She brings a unique dual perspective to this forum as both clinician and military patient.
