Pharmacy Technician Leadership Fellow, APTUK
Selina is the Pharmacy Technician Leadership Fellow at Health Education England and APTUK. In this role, she is supporting the implementation of HEE’s first Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacy Support Staff Workforce Development Strategy. Her main workstreams include promoting the career and ensuring the right education and training for pharmacy technicians. Selina qualified as a pharmacy technician in 2014 and went on to gain a wealth of experience from different pharmacy roles in a mental health hospital dispensary, medicines management, electronic prescribing and medicines administration (EPMA), and medicines procurement. Over the years, she has been involved in several transformational projects, including a Trust-wide roll-out of EPMA and its expansion to another Trust and Hospice. She has designed and delivered training for healthcare professionals and supported the development of electronic processes, such as medicines reconciliation, shared care and discharge letters.
