Shiva is an Advanced Specialist Pharmacist and Independent Prescriber, specialising in adult learning disability and neurodevelopmental care. She delivers structured medication reviews, optimises complex regimens, and supports deprescribing through collaborative, patient-centred approaches. Shiva works closely with multidisciplinary teams to balance clinical risk with quality of life. She represents pharmacists on the Learning Disability Senate and is a committee member of the the Royal College of Psychiatrists Quality Network for Learning Disability. Alongside clinical practice, she teaches nationally and leads initiatives to improve safer, more personalised use of psychotropic medicines.
