Sundus is a nationally recognised medicines optimisation pharmacist with over 25 years’ primary care experience. She is a qualified Independent Prescriber with specialist expertise in frailty, polypharmacy, and the care of older people, particularly care home residents. Sundus has led numerous award-winning innovative quality improvement projects, including a Prime Minister’s Dementia Challenge project promoting safer use of antipsychotics in dementia and the ‘Good Hydration in care homes’ initiative. She is a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and Chair of the National Pharmacy Care Home Faculty. She is also currently an Honorary Fellow at the University of Oxford.
