Teresa is a co-worker to David Gill, a lived experience adviser in the children and young people’s team, NHS England learning disability and autism programme.
Their work currently focusses on reducing restrictive practices including medication, reduction of inappropriate mental health inpatient admissions, and promoting the voice and inclusion of people with lived experiences and their families.
Teresa has over 30 years’ experience of supporting autistic people and those with a learning disability through advocacy and adult education and continues to also work as a trainer and adviser for a local voluntary organisation.
