Una O’Farrell has a 15 year background in community pharmacy, having practised both in her native Northern Ireland and in the prestigious Harley Street area of Central London. During this time she has also represented the profession in integrated care pathway formation, been involved in the reform of the pharmaceutical contract, and delivered lectures to MPharm undergraduate students. She is a coopted board member on Pharmacy Forum Northern Ireland – the professional representative body for pharmacists in NI and is an active member of the National Association of Women Pharmacists. She has represented PDA at Irish Congress having had motions unanimously passed in successive years, and formed part of a PDA - EDI discussion panel at the UK Pharmacy Show. She also consults for pharmaceutical industry, supporting companies to comply with ABPI Code. In September 2023 she formed part of PDA delegation that attended FIP Global Conference, learning from international best practice.
