Vicky began her healthcare career in 2004 at University Hospitals Plymouth, qualifying as an adult nurse in 2013 and later completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Critical Care. She has worked across respiratory medicine, general surgery and ICU, progressing into advanced practice in cardiothoracic surgery and completing her MSc in Advanced Professional Practice in 2020.
From May 2023 to July 2025, she served as Independent Prescribing Clinical Lead at UHP, leading Devon’s Teach and Treat Pilot to support community pharmacists working toward prescribing qualifications. Since August 2025, she has been the Non‑Medical Prescribing Co‑Lead and a Pharmacy Practice Educator, supporting final‑year trainee pharmacists undertaking prescribing as part of their MPharm.
Her work centres on advancing safe, sustainable prescribing practice across professions, supporting workforce transformation, and improving patient access to high‑quality clinical care.
