Wasim Baqir is a senior pharmacist on the NHS E/I Pharmacy Integration Programme working on a number of initiatives with the aim of integrating pharmacy across the system (e.g. pharmacy leadership for Integrated Care Systems, NHS Discharge Medicines Service, pharmacy workforce, systematisation of medicines optimisation). He led the national Medicines Optimisation in Care Homes programme and had significant experience in supporting frail older people with their medicines (www.health.org.uk/pills). He's passionate about personalised care and shared decision making and quality improvement methods to improving services. Wasim co-chairs the Prescribing Research in Medicines Management (PRIMM) group.
