Ziad is a portfolio pharmacist working at national and local level. In his National Pharmacy Integration Lead role at NHS England, Ziad leads on transformation projects to develop the evidence base that informs future commissioning of clinical pharmacy service models in line with NHS Long Term Plan priorities. In his clinical role, Ziad is the Lead Primary Care Network Pharmacist for Didcot PCN in South Oxfordshire where he works closely with the PCN board and neighbouring PCNs, with a particular focus on integrating pharmacy professionals across the system to deliver medicines optimisation at scale. As an independent prescriber, Ziad retains sessional clinics with a special interest in medicines optimisation for patients with multimorbidity and complex polypharmacy. Ziad is passionate about integrated clinical academic research in the context of primary care and has a special interest in pharmacogenetics and stratified medicine. He is currently undertaking an MSc in Genomic Medicine at Imperial College London as part of the national Genomics Education Programme.
